1. Nature of Service

Unburdly provides peer emotional support through compassionate listening only.

Specifically, Unburdly is not:

Therapy, counseling, or psychotherapy
A substitute for professional mental health care
A provider of medical, psychiatric, or psychological advice
A source of diagnoses, treatment plans, or clinical guidance

Our listeners are trained volunteers, not licensed mental health professionals. They do not diagnose conditions, prescribe treatments, or provide clinical guidance of any kind.

2. Not for Emergencies

Unburdly is not designed for crisis or emergency situations.

If you are experiencing any of the following, please contact local emergency services or a qualified mental health professional immediately:

Suicidal thoughts or ideation
Self-harm urges or intent
Immediate danger to yourself or others
Severe mental health distress requiring clinical intervention

3. Personal Responsibility

By using Unburdly, you acknowledge that:

You are responsible for your own decisions, actions, and well-being
Conversations are intended for emotional support and active listening only
Outcomes may vary between individuals
No listener can guarantee specific emotional outcomes
Unburdly does not endorse any particular course of action you may choose to take

4. Platform & Technical

Unburdly conversations take place through our secure web-based chat platform.

Unburdly is not responsible for:

Technical interruptions, outages, or service downtime
Internet connectivity issues on your device
Device compatibility or browser-related problems
Any third-party services integrated with the platform

5. Privacy & Data

While Unburdly operates on a privacy-first architecture with no permanent conversation storage, we cannot guarantee absolute security against all possible technical breaches. See our Privacy Policy for full details.

6. Listener Conduct

While all listeners agree to our Listener Code of Conduct and undergo screening, Unburdly cannot guarantee the behavior of every individual listener in every session. If you experience inappropriate conduct, please report it immediately through the chat interface or contact support@unburdly.com.

7. No Warranties

Unburdly provides its services on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to:

Warranties of merchantability
Fitness for a particular purpose
Non-infringement
Accuracy or reliability of listener responses

8. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Unburdly and its operators, volunteers, and affiliates shall not be liable for:

Any direct, indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages
Emotional distress, psychological harm, or mental health outcomes
Decisions or actions you take based on conversations
Any harm arising from your use or inability to use the service

9. Acceptance

By accessing, browsing, or using Unburdly in any way, you accept this Disclaimer in full. If you do not agree with any part of this Disclaimer, you must not use the service.

Unburdly reserves the right to modify this Disclaimer at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Disclaimer.
